Business protocol

In my business career I worked in several large international corporations. All of them had their own views on business protocol ranging from lax to formal with coats and ties.

A basic business suit, of course, is determined by the climate, that is essential.

The main requirement in business attire is comfort.

Elisabethan style suits with high collars and straight-jacket like styling are definitely out. It must have been hellish to go to work then.

Anyway, here´s my two cents: in a tropical environment a trouser and shirt combination, possibly with a tie, might be the right solution.

In a more temperate climate, of course, suits and ties are the right thing.

But formality should not be overdone.
