| Questions: Is there a code or rule that says a U.S. President must always wear d I notice that President Obama, (when not dressed casual in jeans or sneakers), always seems to only wear suits that are very dark. Such as navy blue, charcoal gray, or black. When he was a senator, he sometimes wore suits that were taupe, tan, or some other lighter tone. Even Donald Trump is ALWAYS seen wearing nothing but dark suits. Is there a rule that says U.S Presidents, or people with a certain type of power or status must always wear only dark suits? Are'nt lighter colored suits just as stylish? Would the Secret Service agents be taken less seriously if they, and the President were seen in lighter colored suits? |
| I have not noticed that before and it is so clever for you to be observing even that. I think the president just want to establish himself as a serious and firm guy. I myself would want those high ranked officials to wear formal and dark colored suits and not those colorful ones. But anyway, now that you asked that, I wonder how the President would look like wearing not so dark suits. |
| Yes, I must agree with you Ally. I don't think that there is a code or rule that United State's presidents like Barrack Obama just follow a color coded suits. Yes, I think that President Obama just want to establish a serious and honorable personality when facing his constituents. Being the US president, isn't easy, that's for sure. You have to look firm and decisive with all your undertakings. Thanks and good day! |
| "Looking firm and decisive"
The President of the United States has hit button to obliterate the earth from the universe.. he certainly doesn't need dark clothes to give a "firm and decisive" look to himself! |
| Hi there! I believe that how we dress up ourselves is the mirror of our own personality. I know that looks can sometimes be deceiving but sometimes people in high authority should also look firm and should show his authority through his looks. Just like President Barrack Obama who is often misunderstood. I know that he is doing his best in order to resolve all the problems in the United States. Thank you so much and have a great day! |
| So sad that President Obama is sometimes misunderstood because of his outfit. I think all he needs to do is to be true to himself. Dress up what is proper for certain events and where is comfortable with. There are a lot of casual suits that will fit him for sure despite his complexion. The most important thing is he does his part for the betterment of the nation. |
