| It is funny, despite what this article says, I have been in many formal situations where the suits of upper class men were not buttoned in the way this person describes, specifically when standing. It usually depended upon what the person was doing, but it seemed that the suit was fully buttoned when standing, and unbuttoned when seated, unless the person was wearing a vest underneath in which case it was often left fully unbuttoned at all times. |
